Solar Bridge

Solar Bridge, a newly completed facility Center, is behind the main house and adjacent to the meditation dome at an elevation of 8,000 feet at the foot of the Sangre de Cristos range. The views from the dome and solar bridge can be breathtaking with the changing of the light and seasons.

Inside the Dome

The inside of the dome has a spiritual ambiance created by the beautiful altar honoring The Mother and Sri Aurobindo. Sitting cushions on the edges and ceiling windows create an atmosphere for inspired silence and concentration. The dome is suitable for individual and group meditation. It also serves for readings from Savitri, Sri Aurobindo's epic poem, and his birthday is often honored with a week of immersion reading Savitri.

Solar Bridge is located just outside the town of Crestone, CO and ecologically designed to fit into our beautiful mountain environment. It features a warm, spacious living room suitable for small group gatherings. There are 3 separate sleeping rooms offering space for at least 6 retreatants.

Our goal is to make your retreat affordable. The rates are set lower than other facilities in the area to promote ongoing exchanges with the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville. We even have a monthly rate for groups and people staying longer. We've tried to make Solar Bridge as comfortable and homey as possible. A full service kitchen is provided so retreatants can be self-sufficient and prepare their own meals. Retreatants are advised to make their registration as much in advance as possible.
