The Sri Aurobindo Learning Center

The Sri Aurobindo Learning Center is located at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo
mountains in southern Colorado very near the town of Crestone.

Seyril Schochen (1915-2006) founded the Sri Aurobindo Learning Center, familiarly known as Savitri House, in 1986 as an
educational foundation. Her vision was that it be based on the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother in association with
Auroville, the City of Human Unity in South India. We seek to continue her work by offering a welcoming retreat facility to those
interested in the study and realization of the spiritual vision of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, conduct workshops,
hold special events and promote exchanges with the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville.

This website is intended to give the reader access to the full spectrum of writings, teachings and other sources
of both Sri Aurobindo and the Mother helping to fulfill the "Learning" aspect of our center.

Savitri readings and meditation with a potluck are held weekly and a Study Group monthly.
Workshops and other special events are scheduled throughout the year.

Join us as we pursue an "adventure of consciousness".
