Welcome to The Curtain Project!

The Curtain Project illustrates the cooperation between the community and our non-profit Learning Center. Our intention is to model a partnership between a non-profit organization and local school schools. We've recently finished working on an insulated curtain project with the students from the local Charter school who earned as they learned about sustainability. This effort is in emulation of Auroville's work with its surrounding villages for the progress of all.

A SUSTINABLE FUTURE WITH PASSIVE SOLAR.
Eight diligent student workers measured, sewed and hemmed under the careful supervision of teacher Karen Ackers, and Steve Carter, Brian Dyer and Pavita Decorah of the SALC Board as well as Scottie.

Gratitude and many thanks to the Foundation for World Education and the Saguache County Tax Revenue grant, which is paying the students to earn-while-they-learn. Student wages went into the school “trip fund” for their adventure to Greece. This is part of the Charter School Mentorship program directed by David Billesbach.
